A directory app shows you listings and leaves the work to you: compare, message, haggle, schedule, chase. A general AI assistant is worse: it can find a phone number, but it has no authority to spend, no counterparty to negotiate against, and no way to move money. Both leave the actual transaction in your hands.
And nothing you tell one of them is known by the next. The tip you just paid at dinner has no idea you now need to get home.
How a deal gets done

You state the need once, with limits
One sentence, plus what you'll accept: a spending cap, a time window, a minimum rating. That grant of authority is signed, and you can revoke it mid-deal.

It doesn't search a list of listings. It opens a negotiation with the agents representing providers who can actually do the job: a tradesperson's agent, a restaurant's agent, a driver's agent, a neighbour's agent.

So each domain has its own specialist agent. They all run on the same network, share the same negotiation protocol, and settle into the same escrow, which is why your needs can hand off to each other instead of living in separate apps.

A new kind of deal takes days, not years
Adding a domain means adding one specialist agent and one adapter. The authority system, the negotiation protocol, the escrow, and the audit trail already exist. Rides (normally an entire company) ship on this network as one more kind of negotiation, with no separate app and no dispatch system.
The handoff between domains is the whole point
Confirm a dinner plan and the ride to it is already prepared. Send a tip and your agent knows the evening is over, so the ride home is waiting. Finish a charity run and it offers to get you home. No other app can see these moments, because the moment happens inside someone else's product.
Every need is the same object underneath
A need enters the network as a single structured object: what you want, by when, at what price, at what quality. Every specialist reads the same object and every deal settles the same way. That's why one interface can carry all of it without becoming nine screens.

Why not just ask ChatGPT, or keep using the apps you have?
A general assistant can find you a phone number. It cannot hold spending authority, cannot negotiate against a party that answers back, and cannot move money. The apps you use can take a payment, but each one sees only its own corner of what you need, and each one still makes you do the negotiating.

Authority is a constraint, not a prompt
You grant your agent bounded authority once: a cap, a window, a quality floor. Every offer is checked against it by code that cannot be talked around, and the provider's floor price is protected the same way. “My agent can't overspend” is a property of the system, not a promise from a model.
Every party keeps its own terms
A business runs its own agent with its own floor price, radius, and availability. Two agents negotiating means neither side has to accept a price set by a platform.
Every closed deal makes the next one better
When a deal closes, the network records what was actually agreed, whether it was delivered on time, and how it was rated. That record is the training signal. Before your agent opens its next negotiation, it looks up how similar deals actually settled in your city: at what fraction of the cap, in how many rounds, with which kind of counterparty. Your agent negotiates accordingly. Each specialist is updated on that history, and an update only goes live if it performs better than the one it replaces on past deals.
The record is written by the outcome, never by the model. An agent cannot grade its own work.
